I've been here forever and I still don't know exactly how the voting system works, except if you vote according to how the "great unwashed" votes, you will gain vote power. That said, you have to vote on all entries in a given contest to gain VP. If you don't, your votes will still count, but your VP will remain the same.

Thanks! It's a tough swallow when an image gets disabled for a day because I misinterpreted thee guidelines and rules. I missed a days worth of voting on two separate images because I went with "Beginners don't need to submit an SBS", but hadn't noticed "Except" when only a sole source was used. Since I did save a layered copy, I added a new source to it and resubmitted. LOL.
Another image (my first), I linked my sources to the site, but not the individual imagery used. LOL, couldn't re-find a couple of the sources and had to replace them. Kind of wished I understood how the SBS thing worked then, as I think it would have made for a good one.
I'm getting used to the site now, so I'm getting all my ducks lined up before I submit.
Started getting involved with critiquing on the Photography side of the site, which I feel much more comfortable with technically than critiquing the Photoshop stuff. To me, it's hard to determine what the photo-shoppers intended with their end results, it's so open for interpretation.
So, here's a question for you. If I understand it correctly, it doesn't really matter how many votes an entry has, because 10 votes valued at 10% would equal one vote at 100%? But do different member also have stronger values assigned to their votes than others?
